How it Works
The Social Media App was built to connect users through profiles, posts, comments, likes, and real-time messaging—emulating the core functionality of major social platforms. Users could create accounts, update their profiles, share posts with images or text, follow other users, and interact through likes and comments. A real-time chat feature was implemented using WebSocket technology for instant communication. The frontend was developed using React Native or Flutter for mobile responsiveness, while the backend was powered by Django REST Framework or Node.js for handling authentication, APIs, and scalable data storage.
Process & Results
The project began with designing user flows and wireframes that reflected intuitive social interaction. Core features were implemented using RESTful APIs and token-based authentication to ensure secure access. Media uploads, dynamic feeds, and follower relationships were carefully optimized for performance. The messaging feature involved building a WebSocket-based system for fast, bi-directional updates. After rounds of testing and UI refinements, the app delivered a smooth and engaging user experience. The final result was a robust, feature-rich social platform that demonstrated my ability to build complex, real-time, user-driven applications—showcasing skills in full-stack mobile development, API design, and scalable architecture.
